Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

An established outpatient healthcare practice is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a collaborative clinical team dedicated to delivering comprehensive patient care. This position combines preventive health, wellness, acute care, and chronic disease management, with a strong emphasis on patient education and long-term health improvement through lifestyle-focused treatment strategies. The provider will work closely with a supervising physician and interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care, promote wellness initiatives, and help patients achieve better health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-employment physical examinations and annual wellness assessments
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of acute illnesses and injuries
  • Manage chronic medical conditions using evidence-based clinical guidelines
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
  • Conduct preventive health screenings and support wellness initiatives
  • Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, disease prevention, and health maintenance
  • Order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as appropriate
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers when necessary
  • Collaborate with medical leadership and stakeholders regarding patient care matters
  • Support occupational health services, including oversight of respirator fit testing and hearing evaluations performed by clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation
  • Assist with clinic operations and additional responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Certified Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Active and unrestricted state license
  • Minimum of one year of experience in one or more of the following settings:
    • Family Medicine
    • Internal Medicine
    • Urgent Care
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered care
  • Comfortable caring for pediatric patients in a clinical setting beyond routine wellness visits, milestone assessments, and vaccine management

Preferred Qualifications

  • DEA license
  • Experience in occupational health, employee health, or wellness-focused clinical settings
  • Experience working across multiple patient care environments
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and organizational stakeholders
