The Deets:
To act as an Operations Leader responsible for supporting the purpose, mantras, and values of Hawkers Asian Street Food through all that you do in your role every day. The Service Manager will work towards goals and objectives to achieve desired results while focusing on the long-term profitability of the company and developing restaurant staff.
Requirements
  • To directly assist the General Manager in meeting or exceeding established sales, revenue, and profitability goals, including monthly and annual sales objectives.
  • To directly assist the General Manager to ensure the financial integrity of all P&L statements by adhering to systems that properly track expenses and revenues.
  • Ensure all proper accountability of all revenues into appropriate Company accounts.
  • Oversees and safeguards the integrity and operational functionality of all Company assets including funds, systems, and equipment, maintaining the highest level of usability and cleanliness.
  • Timely and effectively communicate restaurant objectives in meetings and as required present initiatives and objectives by speaking, leading, and when applicable guiding the team to meet established objectives.
  • Maintain safe and harassment-free working conditions as required by OSHA, federal, state, and local authorities.
  • Communicate with leaders, hourly team members, and guests, providing positive feedback and promoting a positive image of the restaurant and good team member morale.
  • Along with the General Manager, counsel, and coach team members quickly and timely and evaluates staff with formal evaluations.
  • Leads a shift effectively including EOD procedures and banking and trains other leaders to do the same.
  • Takes quick and responsible action in solving problems and is able to use reason when dealing with disciplinary issues.
  • Train, develop, and motivate team members and leaders to meet or exceed established standards.
  • Training and following the training guide program and ensuring team members have a passing score to be in position.
  • Communicate with leaders, hourly team members, and guests, providing positive feedback and promoting a positive image of the restaurant and good team member morale.
  • Assists in completing weekly work schedules, and ensures the schedule is implemented properly.
  • Assists in completing payroll, weekly, mid-period, and EOP administration work properly.
  • Through communication with direct reports and corporate office in handling guests and staff accidents, injuries, and complaints.
  • Responding to guest reviews and upholding guest sentiment.
  • Proactively engaging with guests.
  • Regularly involved in recruiting process and assist in the hiring and onboarding of new team members.
  • Successful completion of the Hawkers MIT program and safe food handlers' certifications.
  • Effective oral, written, and presentation skills as well as computer skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities in an organized manner with minimal supervision
  • Passion for providing excellent service and quality while regularly working in the dining room leading, training, teaching, and coaching staff.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to work in a climate-controlled, restaurant environment.
  • Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary.
  • Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
