Job Description
As a PR Manager with Swatch Group, U.S. & Caribbean, this position will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing RADO's public relations strategy to increase brand awareness, visibility, and desirability within the U.S. market. The role will lead earned media efforts, media relations, influencer engagement, agency management, and strategic storytelling initiatives that strengthen the brand's reputation and market presence.
The PR Manager will serve as the primary liaison and manager of the external PR and/or event agencies, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, campaign priorities, and performance expectations. In addition, this individual will oversee brand events that support broader communications and marketing objectives. The role will independently manage and execute 5-8 small-scale events annually and lead the coordination of 2-3 larger-scale brand activations in partnership with an external agency.
Duties & Responsibilities
Public Relations & Brand Communications
  • Develop and execute annual PR strategies and communications plans to increase brand awareness, visibility, market share, and earned media.
  • Manage the external PR agency, ensuring initiatives align with local and global objectives and evaluating performance against established KPIs, media coverage, and awareness goals.
  • Partner with the Sr. Marketing Manager and global communications team to align PR with overall brand and marketing strategy.
  • Develop and execute PR strategies for product launches, collections, partnerships, sponsorships, and other brand initiatives.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase media engagement, brand relevance, and earned visibility.
  • Develop press releases, media kits, presentations, executive talking points, and other communications materials.
  • Lead PR initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with editors, journalists, stylists, influencers, media, and industry partners.
  • Manage U.S. media relations for RADO, including proactive outreach, media requests, product loans, photo shoots, placements, interviews, and editorial opportunities.
  • Identify and execute influencer and brand ambassador opportunities in partnership with the agency.
  • Analyze and report on PR performance, including media impressions, coverage quality, share of voice, and ROI.
  • Manage the annual PR budget, including planning, forecasting, invoicing, and performance tracking.
Events
  • Plan and execute approximately 5-8 small-scale events annually, including retail partner activations, media events, product launches, and VIP engagements.
  • Manage all aspects of small-scale events, including venues, budgets, logistics, guest management, production, travel, and post-event reporting.
  • Lead 2-3 large-scale brand events annually in partnership with an external agency, serving as the primary internal project lead.
  • Ensure agency-managed events align with brand objectives, timelines, budgets, and execution standards.
  • Manage event planning timelines, approvals, logistics, run-of-show development, and on-site execution.
  • Prepare pre- and post-event analyses, including attendance, media impact, and ROI.
  • Collaborate with retail partners, media, influencers, and key stakeholders to maximize event visibility and business impact.
  • Manage event budgets, reconciliation, invoicing, and SAP processes.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual PR and media activity reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on new ideas, campaigns, and opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with media, influencers, industry leaders, and strategic partners.
  • Create presentations, reports, and communications materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Domestic and international travel required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Education & Experience Requirement
  • Must have 5+ years of progressive public relations and brand communications experience.
  • Must have in-house PR experience working directly for a luxury, premium, fashion, lifestyle, jewelry, watches, or consumer brand.
  • Experience leading PR efforts from the brand/client side is required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing external PR agencies and holding agency partners accountable for results.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of earned media, influencer relations, executive communications, and integrated PR strategies.
  • Proven track record of driving brand awareness, media visibility, and high-quality earned media coverage.
  • Experience planning and managing brand events, product launches, media events, and VIP activations.
  • Strong media contacts and a demonstrated record of securing national and top-tier media placements.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and industry partners.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to work weekends as needed; travel up to 35%.

Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Public Relations & Events Manager to have the ability to move about the office occasionally, operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
