Job description

Contemporary Luxury Fashion Brand | Los Angeles, CA

We are seeking a highly organized and creatively attuned Design Coordinator to join our growing team. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, a refined understanding of modern luxury apparel, and the ability to support the design and product development process with precision and efficiency. This role supports both womenswear and menswear collection development.

The ideal candidate possesses strong experience creating CADs, managing seasonal samples, and collaborating closely with production teams to bring collections to life. This position is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and understands the importance of craftsmanship, fit, and elevated execution.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed CADs, technical flats, and seasonal design support materials
  • Oversee the organization, tracking, and maintenance of all development and production samples
  • Partner closely with design and production teams to ensure development timelines and approvals are executed seamlessly
  • Support fittings, updates, and communication related to garment development and revisions
  • Maintain organized design archives, seasonal references, fabrics, trims, and color developments
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials, line sheets, and internal development tools
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all design documentation and product information
  • Research, research, research! Be knowledgeable about trends, forecasts, and the state of the industry as it evolves with a hunger for growth and new ways of working.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in apparel design coordination or product development within the fashion industry
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrication, fit, wash techniques, and luxury product execution
  • Experience creating professional CADs and managing multiple categories simultaneously
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment
  • A strong point of view and appreciation for contemporary luxury fashion, design, and culture
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with premium knits, denim, garment dye, or elevated essentials
  • Familiarity with domestic production processes
  • Knowledge of PLM systems and technical development workflows

We are looking for someone who is both operationally strong and creatively aligned — someone who understands that exceptional product begins with thoughtful process, elevated design, and uncompromising attention to detail.
