Job Title: Associate Designer - Cold Weather & Fashion Accessories
Location: 5 days onsite at our NYC HQ
Summary: American Exchange Group is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Associate Designer to join our growing Cold Weather & Fashion Accessories team. This newly created position will work on existing business as well as new licenses coming on board.
You'll report to the President, Handbags & Fashion Accessories and work closely with Production, Packaging, and Merchandising to support the design and development of innovative cold weather and fashion accessories.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create seasonal mood and trend boards
  • Develop accurate artwork, repeats, and specs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Prepare design files for sampling and production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product execution matches design intent
  • Support product revisions, costing updates, and presentation materials
  • Stay on top of timelines, trends, and technical innovations in textiles
  • Contribute ideas and assist wherever needed throughout the design process

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accessories Design, Fashion Design, or related field
  • 2+ years of design experience in fashion/apparel or accessories
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
  • Detail-driven with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow
