Job Title: Crop Assistant

Job Description:
The person will primarily be responsible for producing crops for the Everett and Ottsville farms, shopping for best price on seeds and fertilizers, maintaining tractors and other farm equipment, and maintaining crop fields in good standing.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Responsibilities:
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Assist Crop Manager in all aspects of crop maintenance.
  • Ability to perform all work and interact with others in a safe and responsible manner.

Qualifications:
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to travel to other Lampire facilities as needed.
  • Ability to operate Lampire vehicles and machinery.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Physical Requirements:
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching at various times throughout the day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate Lampire Owned vehicles as needed.

Working Conditions:
  • Extremes of temperature, including heat in summer months and cold in winter months.
  • Noise can be extreme if working in or on farm equipment, hearing protection may be required.
  • Excessive walking may be required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing, walking, and sitting.
