Job description

The Operations Manager is a senior leadership role that serves as the operational backbone of Foxhollow Farm. This person integrates mission with execution, ensuring the farm's business, financial, and administrative systems are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our regenerative values.

Reporting directly to our 4th Generation Steward, the Operations Manager will serve as a key cross functional connector between farm operations, business performance, marketing/events, and leadership. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, someone who prefers building systems over inheriting them, with strong analytical capabilities, market awareness, and people leadership skills.

This is a high impact, high autonomy position best suited to a purpose driven leader who is energized by the challenge of building a replicable, modern farm business model from the ground up. This is more than an operations role; it is an opportunity to help shape the future of regenerative agriculture by building modern, efficient systems that honor both the land and the people who depend on it.

Duties & Responsibilities

Business Operations and Financial Performance

  • Develop, track, and report KPIs to measure team and companywide success; ensure data driven decision making across all departments
  • Conduct ongoing market and revenue analysis, understand where revenue is coming from, identify demand trends, and evaluate Foxhollow's competitive positioning
  • Analyze production, operational, and overhead costs to develop accurate pricing models and improve margins across all revenue streams
  • Monitor market trends and competitor pricing; optimize vendor relationships and cost efficiencies
  • Provide clear, timely financial insights and reporting to support leadership decisions

Growth Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Identify opportunities to scale Foxhollow's presence in the consumer goods marketplace
  • Evaluate and support potential product strategy pivots, including areas such as hospitality aligned offerings and supplement development
  • Partner with leadership to explore new revenue streams and scalable business models that can be replicated across the farm's entities

Systems, Processes, & Scaleability

  • Identify outdated systems and implement efficient plug-and-play solutions to improve automation and accuracy across the organization
  • Create scalable workflows across finance, HR, and lease and agreement management
  • Improve reporting systems, documentation, and data accessibility to support informed decision-making at all levels
  • Establish clear operational processes that can be replicated as the farm grows and additional entities are added

Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as a people leader, manage staff, and collaborate with managers across multiple entities operating on the farm
  • Foster a culture of accountability, clear communication, and continuous improvement in alignment with Foxhollow's mission and values
  • Work closely with Leadership to ensure alignment, transparency, and strategic execution across all farm operations
  • Define leadership competencies across direct reports and support team development in alignment with Foxhollow's values

Budgeting, Reporting, and Administration

  • Prepare annual operating and capital expense budgets for leadership approval
  • Set up and maintain reporting and logging systems for operational tracking across all farm entities
  • Partner with finance to prepare financial analysis to CEO and Board
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation across all business functions

Vendor, Property, & Lease Management

  • Manage all vendors and contractors related to property maintenance and repairs
  • Partner with Leadership to ensure all agreements and leases (land users, tenants, vendors) are accurate, current, and compliant
  • Execute all future leases, renewals and evaluate current leases to ensure consistency
  • Maintain consistent compliance and documentation standards across all operational agreements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, business management, or a similar senior role
  • Demonstrated experience with financial analysis, budgeting, KPI development, and market analysis
  • Strong background in process improvement, systems implementation, and scalable workflow design
  • Proven ability to manage vendors, contracts, leases, and administrative systems across multiple entities
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills — experience managing staff and building team culture
  • Proven ability to lead through influence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace and modern operational tools
  • Background in agriculture, food systems, consumer goods, hospitality, sustainability, or mission-driven organizations is strongly preferred
