Reporting to the Sow Farm Manager, you will help oversee daily farm operations, lead and develop employees, and ensure the highest standards of animal care, biosecurity, safety, and production performance are achieved. This hands-on leadership position offers the opportunity to work in a modern production environment featuring electronic sow feeding (ESF), open-pen gestation systems, advanced biosecurity practices, and innovative animal care programs.You will be responsible for supporting production goals while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee development. Working closely with farm leadership, Human Resources, and service teams, you will help drive operational excellence and contribute to the long-term success of the farmWhat You?ll DoAs Assistant Sow Farm Manager, you?ll be the on-site leader ensuring smooth daily operations. You will:Manage and mentor the farm team through training, scheduling, and performance development.Oversee animal care plans including vaccinations, health programs, and welfare practices.Drive efficiency by monitoring budgets, production targets, and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead farm meetings and maintain strong communication across teams.Ensure compliance with biosecurity, safety, and animal welfare standards.Collaborate with regional managers and service teams on health, throughput, and long-term planning.What We?re Looking ForWe?re seeking a hands-on leader with a passion for livestock production and team development.
