Job description

The Logistics Associate, reporting to the Logistics Manager, is a versatile team member responsible for supporting the efficient operation of Wysocki Family Farms. This position provides operational support through a variety of transportation, equipment operation, crop production, and maintenance activities. The Logistics Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the timely movement of materials, products, and equipment while assisting with planting, spraying, harvesting, storage, and other seasonal farming operations. This role requires adaptability, dependability, a safety-focused mindset, and a willingness to perform a wide range of duties in support of farm and business operations.


Qualifications:

Previous agricultural experience preferred.Semi-truck driving experience preferred; CDL is a plus but not required.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and extended shifts during peak seasons.


Accountabilities:

Tend and support sprayer operations, ensuring timely delivery of materials and assistance as needed.Operate and drive bulk trucks to transport agricultural products and other materials.Assist with potato handling operations, including scooping, loading, and transporting potatoes.Operate tractors and agricultural equipment for routine tasks such as mowing ditches and other field support activities.Deliver fertilizer and supplies to field locations in support of crop production activities.Perform basic mechanical work and assist with equipment maintenance and repairs in the shop as needed.Deliver dehy loads via trucks and semis.Perform bin cleaning, washing, and general facility maintenance as needed.Tend and support planting operations, including assisting with planter setup and operation.Assist with loading, hauling, and transporting equipment between locations.Work collaboratively with the farm operations team to support planting, harvest, storage, and other seasonal activities.Demonstrates Wysocki Family Farms Core Values through everyday actions, communication, and decision-making to foster a respectful, collaborative, and high-performing workplace.Performs other duties as assigned to support departmental and company goals, adapting to business needs with flexibility and teamwork.


Physical Activities/Demands:

This position requires sedentary work, involving sitting for extended periods during operation of equipment. The remaining balance of this position, requires working in various environments (sometimes tight and confined); bend, stoop, squat and kneel: reach for and lift objects above the shoulder; walk distances on firm, uneven and soft terrain; lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with the discretion of team lift; communicate with others via voice, listening and verbal response; read and write to receive instruction, document work and heed safety warnings; repeat motions with the wrists, hands and fingers; operate machinery, power tools, vehicles and heavy equipment; visually inspect work in near/distant scenarios including need for peripheral vision and depth perception, sit for extended periods of time. 


Environmental Conditions:

Physical activities may be performed in both indoor (office/shop/production areas) and outdoor environments (fields/storage areas) which could include low and high temperatures; precipitation and wind; noisy environments; potential exposure to chemicals/pesticides; dusty or poorly ventilated environments; darkness/low light.
