Familiarity with farm equipment, animal husbandry practices, and safety protocols is valuable, and CPR/First Aid certification is commonly expected. These competencies ensure the safety and well-being of both children and animals, while also supporting the smooth operation of the farm.

A Farm Nanny’s daily responsibilities generally include supervising and caring for children on the farm, helping with educational activities, and ensuring they are safe while interacting with animals and farm environments. In addition, you may be asked to assist with feeding, cleaning, or minor care for animals, as well as help with simple farm chores alongside the children. Collaboration with the farm family and other staff members is common, ensuring both childcare and farm tasks are managed smoothly. Flexibility is important, as duties can change with the seasons or farm workload. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy active, varied days and thrive in both childcare and farm settings.
