Our business includes dairy-beef calf raising, cattle finishing, broiler production, and row crop farming. We are focused on continually improving efficiency, animal care, and profitability while building a strong team that takes pride in their work.
We are looking for an Assistant Farm Manager who wants more than just a job—we’re looking for someone who wants to become a key leader in our operation and help drive the farm forward.

Position Summary

The Assistant Farm Manager will work directly alongside ownership to oversee the daily operation of the livestock and crop enterprises. This individual will help coordinate employees, prioritize work, maintain high standards of animal care, and ensure the farm operates efficiently every day.
This position requires someone who is organized, mechanically inclined, dependable, and capable of making good decisions without constant supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

Livestock Operations

· Oversee daily cattle care and employee assignments.

· Monitor animal health and identify cattle requiring treatment.

· Ensure feeding, bedding, walking, and pen maintenance are completed to company standards.

· Coordinate cattle movements and facility utilization.

· Maintain treatment records and production information.

Equipment & Facilities

· Operate and maintain farm equipment.

· Perform preventative maintenance.

· Diagnose mechanical problems.

· Coordinate repairs and shop organization.

· Help manage equipment cleanliness and readiness.

Team Leadership

· Lead and organize daily work assignments.

· Set expectations for quality and efficiency.

· Communicate priorities with ownership.

Crop Operations

· Assist with planting and harvest.

· Truck grain and manure.

· Operate tillage, planting, and harvesting equipment.

· Manage irrigation and seasonal field activities.

Continuous Improvement

Qualifications
