Entrepreneurship Intern

Our interns will spend 3 months learning how to own and operate a State Farm Insurance Agency. Interns will create a mock business plan to open an office in Detroit Metro. Interns will gain experience making sales calls, learning insurance basics, and learning administrative roles within an insurance office. Interns will be given the opportunity to obtain an insurance license from the State of Michigan.

Position Details

·         Title: Entrepreneurship Intern
·         Start Date: September 1st November 20th
·         Compensation: $800 monthly base compensation plus commission & bonuses
·         Location: 8347 N Wayne Rd, Westland, MI 48185; 
·         Hours: noon -5pm , Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 
Insurance Licensing

As a part of our internship, we will pay for your licensing course to obtain your insurance license.
Your Role & Responsibilities

·         Outbound calling with an expectation of 250 contacts per day. 
·         Complete the necessary licensing steps to qualify as a licensed insurance agent in Michigan.
·         Engage in a comprehensive training program covering sales, customer service and business management.
·         Participate in team meetings, project planning, and execution.
·         Collaborate on special projects, including marketing and customer engagement initiatives.
·         Complete a business plan to open your very own State Farm agency and provide regular updates on business plan milestones.
