The Role in Detail

• Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on aspects such as communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide educational support to patients and their families to enhance progress outside clinical encounters.
• Conduct infrequent inpatient evaluations and treatments to ensure continuity of care throughout the patient's recovery process.
• Document treatment plans clearly and timely in accordance with all regulatory standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and colleague collaboration.

Your Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licensure and Certification

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred certification of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
