Yourmissions :
Job Summary and Purpose:
The Field Service & Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, adjustment, commissioning, and maintenance of Ceva equipment at customer sites. This role ensures successful project execution, provides on-site technical expertise, and serves as a key link between customers and internal Ceva project teams.
The technician will perform installation and service work in compliance with safety, biosecurity, and quality standards, while promoting Ceva's values and customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities and Key Duties:
Installation and Commissioning
  • Install, adjust, and commission mechanical and electrical equipment at customer sites.
  • Prepare for each assignment by analyzing project plans, technical documentation, and required tools.
  • Supervise unloading, verify equipment integrity, and ensure correct alignment and leveling per installation plans.
  • Perform wiring, mechanical assembly, system calibration, and equipment debugging with support from automation engineers or back-office technicians.
  • Participate in factory validation of equipment prior to shipment.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Ceva equipment, including diagnostics, part replacement, and performance testing.
  • Identify and resolve malfunctions or escalate complex issues to technical experts.
  • Maintain service documentation, intervention reports, and CRM entries for all site activities.

Customer Support and Training
  • Provide on-site technical guidance and training to customer teams on proper use, maintenance, and safety procedures for Ceva equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and internal stakeholders regarding service progress and technical issues.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and represent Ceva's brand and professionalism in all interactions.

Process Improvement and Compliance
  • Suggest technical or process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all company and customer safety protocols, including OSHA, DOT, and biosecurity regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Integrate animal welfare and hatchery biosecurity best practices into all field activities.

Education -
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and field experience.

Work Experience -
  • 2-5 years of experience in industrial equipment installation, maintenance, or field service - preferably within the poultry, food production, or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, electrical troubleshooting, and basic automation systems preferred.

Other (consider certifications, specialized knowledge and/or training, etc.) -
PLC Fundamentals, NCCER, or CMRT certification preferred.
• Familiarity with poultry or hatchery environments and biosecurity practices preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in industrial or hatchery environments.
Working Conditions:
• Work environments may include hot, humid, or noisy hatchery facilities.
Travel Required:
• Extensive travel (up to 75%) including overnight and weekend work as needed.
