OVERVIEW:

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of sports partnerships, with exposure to sales strategy, partnership activation, and cross-functional collaboration across three dynamic teams: the Atlanta Hawks, the College Park Skyhawks, and State Farm Arena.

This role in particular will have a primary focus on Partnership Activation which includes game day and event support, requires interacting with multiple departments across the Hawks organization, and providing best-in-class service throughout execution of partner assets.

The Partnership Activation Seasonal Assistant will report to the Sr. Director, Global Partnership Activation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Act in a general support role to all Activation managers in their day-to-day account management

    • Provide meeting support through diligent notetaking, action item tracking, and distribution of summaries to relevant stakeholders

    • Assist with community activations and partner player/talent appearances

    • Support during games and events, including the execution of in-game experiences/promotions and assisting with partner activations and entitlement nights, concourse activations, etc.

    • Submit various internal request forms

  • Participate in season-long activation project

    • Includes oversight of a key partner deliverable from planning through execution and recap phases

  • Research and develop league and industry best practices to help strengthen existing partnerships as well as new business

  • Provide photography support to maintain proof of performance for all partnership benefits

    • Ensure photographers are booked and have proper event access

    • Create shot lists for games and events

    • Assist in cataloging and tagging photos in Iconik asset management tool

  • Assist in the build-out of Mid-Season, End of Season, and Special Event recaps using Sportsdigita and/or other presentation platforms

  • Assist in inventory management and proper upkeep of GP closet/other storage spaces

  • Provide support on touchpoints, both internally for the partnerships department and for our partner contacts throughout the season

    • Ex. Setting up lunches, shipping out gifting, etc.

  • Maintain the Global Partnership partner list in Salesforce to ensure accuracy and accessibility

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field

    • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience (internships included)

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe product suites

    • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

    • Self-starter who exhibits a strong work ethic

    • Proactive and problem-solving mindset

    • Attention to detail

    • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information carefully and with sensitivity

    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, including all event/game nights if applicable for Hawks, Skyhawks and State Farm Arena events

  • Preferred

    • Previous experience in sports partnerships (professional or collegiate level)

    • Familiarity with programs like Sportsdigita, Salesforce, KORE, Iconik, Smartsheet

    • Interest in pursuing a career in sports partnerships longer term
