Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join Allegheny Family Connection Center, offering remote counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. This full-time position allows you to leverage your therapeutic skills while providing vital mental health support to clients through telehealth platforms. In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, enabling them to navigate life's challenges and improve their mental wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as an LMFT, you will:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostics for clients presenting with various mental health concerns.
  • Facilitate individual and couples therapy sessions, employing modalities suited to their unique needs.
  • Diagnose mental health disorders and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at fostering healthier family dynamics.
  • Engage in regular supervision and professional development to enhance your therapeutic techniques and stay current on best practices.
  • Assess situations involving conflict, loss, or trauma, providing strategies and resources that assist clients in healing and managing stress.
  • Offer referrals to additional specialists when necessary, ensuring comprehensive care.
  • Document all therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals, couples, and families experiencing various challenges, including but not limited to:

  • Alcohol abuse and dependency issues.
  • Experiences of physical or psychological abuse.
  • Grief and loss, specific to health conditions or relational changes.
  • Family conflicts, including sibling rivalries and issues stemming from separation or divorce.
  • Adjustment difficulties, particularly with blended families and new parenting dynamics.
  • Job-related stress and medical issues impacting emotional wellbeing.

Your expertise will directly influence clients' abilities to identify their problems and engage in therapeutic processes leading to positive mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this pivotal role, you must possess:

  • A valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) designation.
  • An active state license to practice in Texas.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range from USD 70,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a salary, our compensation package includes:
