Family Promise primarily focuses on providing shelter and support for homeless families through community-based programs, often working within nonprofit shelters. Case Managers have a broader role in coordinating services, managing client plans, and working within various settings like healthcare or social service agencies. While both roles require social service knowledge, Case Managers typically need specific certifications and degrees, whereas Family Promise roles may emphasize volunteer coordination and outreach. Understanding these differences helps clarify career paths and job expectations in the social services industry.
