About Electra:
Electra.aero is seeking an enthusiastic college student to contribute and gain experience to our Supply Chain Manufacturing team during the Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026 semester terms onsite in Manassas, VA daily.
This team is responsible for the Sourcing, Total Cost, On time Delivery, and Quality from our suppliers. The ideal candidate will be working towards a Supply Chain Degree. The position is based in Northern Virginia and candidates should be located within commuting distance of Manassas, VA or willing to relocate for the duration of the internship. The intern will be an integral member of the Supply Chain Manufacturing team and will provide impactful value added projects.
Potential Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Develop detailed Standard Operating Procedures and Metrics
  • Develop and implement tools that gain productivity
  • Assist with staff with training and development initiatives
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build and implement strategy around Indirect Sourcing
  • Build and implement Supplier qualification and Supplier Selections process
  • Build and implement other productivity tools like Supplier Portal, e-auctions, or raw material market analysis template

Requirements
  • A strong work ethic and ability to operate independently.
  • Must have been accepted into Supply Chain Major and completed minimum two core major courses
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

Compensation:
Starting at $20 per hour

Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in a warehouse/aviation and office environment, which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in handling light materials, boxes, power tools, prototypes, and different materials or equipment. Due to the nature of our business and projects, some fieldwork may be required, working in both indoor and outdoor conditions. You may need to lift up to 50 lbs.

Successful completion of a background check and/or drug screening prior to starting work may be required for this position.
