Job description

Aequus Sports, LLC (Spokane Velocity FC) is looking for multiple FOR CREDIT ONLY interns in the Fall of 2026 (unpaid). Candidates must be current college students enrolled for internship credits and be able to dedicate 10-20 hours per week to the internship (including every home game), with flexible front office scheduling around their academic commitments. At Aequus Sports, we know the importance and impact an internship can have academically and in future career opportunities. Within our organization, there are multiple fields and areas in which students can gain real work experience to grow their understanding of their field of study.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential skills for this position. The successful candidate should be dependable, have reliable transportation, be able to handle multiple tasks and work long hours (evenings, weekends & holidays included). Interns will experience professional sports through multiple departments of the Aequus Sports organization.
Available roles
  • Soccer Operations (1)
    • Assist Operations Coordinator in office
    • Instruct/manage ball retrievers throughout matches
    • Set up/take down of scorer's table, and aid in walkout items pre/post-match
    • Assist match officials on gamedays, escort them to and from car, help with security of officials
    • Assist staff with internal operations at club
  • Marketing - PR/Writing (1)
    • Assist the PR team in writing match previews and post-match press releases
    • Help conduct post-match team & media interviews
    • Assist in brainstorming new ways to get in front of new fans via news broadcast, podcasts, etc.
  • Merchandise (1)
    • Support set up of merchandise booth on match days
    • Help maintain and manage inventory
  • Ticketing & Sales (1-2)
    • Prospecting & research
    • Lead Generation
    • Outbound sales support

Commitments
Time:
Interns must commit to a minimum 3 month window and be available to work ALL game days from August - November 2026 (some exceptions may apply depending on school schedule and prior written notice of an approved absence).
