Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a 2026 summer student intern to join our Engineering Services Department!

About This Role…

The Engineering Services team is looking for a summer intern who enjoys working with data in Excel and other programs! This role will involve cross-functional collaboration with other engineering departments, as well as our production areas.

Key Projects and Tasks

  • Data Analysis and Management – Work in Excel and ERP/PLM systems to manipulate and analyze data. Apply functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, COUNTIFS, ISNUMBER, pivot tables, simple formulas, and other tools as needed to support processes.
  • Instructional Content Creation and Development – Create, update, and maintain documentation and work instructions across departments. Make sure new and existing materials are clear, concise, and up to date.
  • Collaboration – Partner with Engineering and Production teams to support ongoing projects. Participate in team meetings to support departments as needed.

North American Internship Program

The Flexco Summer Internship Program has been designed to assist undergraduate students gain exposure to the Manufacturing Industry, provide hands-on experience in their field of interest, and develop professional skills for their future careers.

Interns at Flexco can expect to…

  • Participate in 10-12 weeks of our immersive internship program,
  • Experience the Flow of Flexco – weekly meetings with various departments across the business to understand the importance of their role and function within the organization,
  • Join monthly coffee chats with members of our Senior Leadership Team, hearing about their educational paths, career journeys, and gaining advice and wisdom,
  • Take part in monthly workshops on resume writing, LinkedIn networking, interview do’s and don’ts, presentation skills, and Yellow Belt training,
  • And showcase what you’ve learned with a capstone presentation at the end of the summer – highlight a large project/multiple projects you’ve worked on and share your experiences with Flexco’s values.

Requirements

  1. Must be 18 or older due to federal regulations/OSHA standards
  2. Ability to work 100% onsite in our Downers Grove office
    1. Full-Time: 6:00am – 2:30pm OR 7:00am – 3:30pm
    2. Part-Time: 4 days per week, 6 hours per day (between 6:00am – 2:30pm)
  3. Currently enrolled in college/university with Fall 2026 registration confirmed
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

  • Junior or higher preferred
  • Experience with data entry
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a similar field
