Job description

About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Safety Coordinator to join our Safety team on our project site in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the project's safety program and promoting a zero-accident culture.
  • Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Support safety inspections and help identify and correct deficiencies in the field.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and assist with training sessions on topics such as fall protection, confined space, and OSHA requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams and trade partners to ensure safety compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, safety management, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills, and a "team first" mindset.
  • Ability to identify and resolve safety issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

  • Internship or prior experience in construction or engineering environment.
  • Formal safety training, including OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and knowledge of fall protection, excavation, and confined space protocols.
  • Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHSP).
  • Willingness to relocate for project assignments and career growth opportunities.
