About This Role

Faire's Risk team is seeking a highly motivated Verification Associate to analyze and verify small businesses. This role may include weekend work on a monthly basis. 

What you'll do

  • Verify small businesses (retailers and brands) using social media, geolocation data, or by requesting additional information from them as necessary
  • Contribute towards the implementation of risk management policies, procedures, and tools
  • Monitor Faire credit exposure by reviewing account balances and assigned credit limits
  • Work with Sales and Support teams to streamline communication, improve efficiencies, and provide a world-class customer experience

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in financial services, tech, compliance operations, or related industry
  • Ability to spot patterns from discrete and vague data points (e.g. social media, financial data, Faire transactional data)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with customers in a clear and concise manner, primarily via email 
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to balance Risk mitigation alongside a positive customer experience; demonstrated ability in conflict-resolution
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with others in a closely collaborative team environment
  • Passionate, relentless resourcefulness and the ability to thrive at a fast-paced startup -- you're willing to do what needs to be done for the success of your team and you are comfortable with change

  • Prior experience in Risk, Fraud, or Trust and Safety teams
  • Experience working with various tools and systems including Zendesk, Mode, Notion
  • SQL proficiency and data-driven analytic skills

Salary Range

San Francisco: the pay range for this role is $31.95 to $44.00 per hour.

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
