Job description

Job Title: Product Analysis Engineer

Location: Burlington, MA
 

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Engineer I – Product Analysis to support failure analysis of implanted medical devices. This role involves investigating returned/explanted products to identify root causes of failures, working in a laboratory environment while following FDA and quality standards. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite, wearing lab gowning/PPE, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analysis on explanted medical device products.
  • Investigate and identify root causes of product failures.
  • Document findings and prepare technical reports.
  • Work closely with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Surveillance teams.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives related to failure analysis.
  • Follow FDA regulations, Quality Management System (QMS), and company procedures.
  • Assist with test equipment selection and lab activities.
  • Mentor junior lab staff when needed.
  • Manage multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Biomedical Engineering preferred).
  • Engineering experience is preferred (entry-level candidates with relevant internships/projects may be considered).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic computer applications.
