Job description

Work Model: Work Model: You'll work in a hybrid model, onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least 3 days per week (Monday-Thursday), with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days, including Friday.

Position Summary:

The Engineering Project Leader II is responsible for designing and detailing the mechanical systems for Regal Rexnord Automation Solutions machinery. This position will be required to manage multiple units within a system design while ensuring the assembly and operation of the machinery meet all the criteria set by the customer and by Regal Rexnord Automation Solutions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Produce error free, cost-effective drawings. These include:
    • System layout
    • Component drawings, detailed to ensure quality and safety
    • Detailed equipment drawings highlighting expected performance
  • Meet timelines given for assignments.
  • Demonstrate innovativeness in designs, looking for increased quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Generate detailed ECNs as required
  • Generate detailed ERNs as required
  • Able to support Site audits for project kickoff to gather required inputs to ensure success
  • Assist project team in designing and detailing portions of projects
  • Assume project engineer responsibilities for small to medium size projects.
    • Create and maintain an engineering file.
    • Develop and monitor schedules.
    • Review work performed by others for the project.
    • Provide Mechanical Engineering manager with a weekly status update.
    • Perform equipment startups as the lead or as an advisor with the startup team.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities, as required.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • General supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision. standard practices or procedures allow me to proceed alone at routine work. occasional check of work while in progress. work is reviewed upon completion.
  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. or two-years to ten-year related experience and/or training. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrated use of intermediate software packages, (word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.)
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in 3D Modeling Software (Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks Preferred)

Travel: Up to 10%

Work Mode: Hybrid with office in Randolph, WI or Oshkosh, WI with potential to travel between locations
