POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) Manager, the Occupational Health Nurse / Specialist is entrusted to support factory safety activities, work to improve overall employee health and wellness, and promote the health and safety of the employees in the workplace. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide clinical care, nursing assessments and interventions with a focus on promoting and restoring health, preventing injury and illnesses and protecting workers from occupational and environmental hazards
  • Collaborate with safety officers, HR, and industrial hygienists to ensure compliance with occupational health standards
  • Manage factory's Worker's Compensation program and prepare reports and updates of regulatory logs for safety and worker's compensation programs
  • Participate in risk assessment and ergonomic evaluations to prevent workplace injuries
  • Organize wellness programs (e.g., stress management, smoking cessation, fitness initiatives)
  • Represent Nestle as the Workers' Compensation Administrator for the Little Chute factory and act as a liaison for the Company with local physicians, other health care agencies and third party administrators for worker's compensation claims
  • Maintain confidential medical records to include pre-employment medical exams and drug-screening process
  • Provide counseling and health guidance to employees on lifestyle, nutrition, and mental health.
  • Provide medical and/or health perspective/knowledge both in the office and on the manufacturing floor to support and build employee safe working habits

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with Workers' Compensation claims management
  • Experience with OSHA recordkeeping and maintaining OSHA logs
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience as an Occupational Health Nurse (COHN or COHN-S preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR/AED/BBP Certified Trainer
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to accommodate/ fluctuate schedule for all three shifts weekly
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin - preferred
  • Minimum of 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and web-based applications
  • Certified in CPR and AED use
