Position Summary
The function of this position is: To work as a team member to operate various can lines as well as their associated casers and depalletizers in a safe and productive manner. Maintain all required paperwork including but not limited to quality checks, production reports, and inventory documentation. To perform and understand quality checks and associated paper work in accordance with the Nestle QMS. To maintain general housekeeping and food safety related sanitation. To learn and adhere to good manufacturing practices. To support and contribute to a continuous improvement culture. Complete and understand all inventory transactions required for the position. To understand and follow the Waverly Norms.
**This position will cross train with the Pouch Line Operators**

Quality checks
All associate paperwork and computer transactions
Housekeeping and general sanitation
Operate and control line equipment
Perform any other duties assigned to you by a supervisor
Materials: Supply machine centers with packaging and raw materials. Inspect the materials before using verify the correct material is being used with the correct raw ingredient to meet our CCP requirements. Rejects any damaged or deficient materials not meeting our specification. Maintain a food factory level of sanitation. Communicate with operators, mechanics, and management.
Equipment: Operate and adjust packaging equipment in a safe manner. Ability to modify running conditions to maintain performance standards.
Safety: Employee shall follow Waverly safety objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety Management System on all safety related procedures and programs.
Environmental: This position will adhere to the Nestlé USA Waverly Environmental Policy, the Pollution Prevention Plan, and the Annual Environmental Objectives & Targets. The position will support the continual improvement of energy conservation, solid waste minimization and management, and prevention of pollution within the scope of the position and throughout the plant.
Job requirements:
Consistent attendance and punctuality are critical to this role. The successful candidate must be able to report to work on time, maintain regular attendance, and work scheduled hours as required to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous lift truck experience
Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.
Willing and able to stand on a frequent basis.
Willing and able to work overtime.
Willing and able to work various shifts.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
