Responsibilities
  • We are looking to fill the position of maintenance supervisor. This is a HANDS-ON position reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The job is located at our Cold Storage facility in Taunton, MA.
  • This position will also require local travel to other locations, such as New Bedford, MA.
  • Oversee and perform upgrades to refrigerated warehouse space.
  • Maintain existing warehousing and production facilities.
  • Develop a skilled maintenance team and supervise a small group of maintenance technicians and helpers.
  • Inspect and repair machinery and facility systems such as electrical and plumbing.
  • Complete specific projects with or without help from the crew.
  • Provide support for maintenance on various machines within a cold storage facility.
Qualifications
  • Project management experience.
  • Previous experience in facility/factory maintenance.
  • Ability to create and follow plans for repair and maintenance.
  • Preventive maintenance program experience / CMMS software a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift to 100 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Ammonia Exp. Is a PLUS
  • Operator 1-3 Cert is a PLUS
  • EPA 608,601 a plus
  • 2+ years mechanical and electrical experience maintaining forklifts and warehouse equipment or combination of experience and trade school.
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, sanders in the set up and fitting for welding or in finishing of welds.
  • Previous experience in Cold Store is a plus
  • Previous experience in facility/factory refrigeration areas is desired.
  • Compliance / Refrigeration programming is a plus
  • Must have a valid Driverโ€™s license and transportation.
