Our Blood Institute is actively looking for a Quality Management Specialist who will work with Cellular Therapy and Therapeutic Service Departments to develop and maintain the Quality Plan as required by accreditation agencies.

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Pay: Competitive pay to include shift differential and holiday pay and is based on education and/or experience and $500 bonus after 6 months and $1,000 bonus after 1 year!

Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability, 401(k), paid-time off, $5,000 annual tuition reimbursement, holiday pay, etc.

Days: Monday through Friday

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in science, healthcare, or related discipline
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience
  • Quality Systems experience preferred
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good tissue practices (GTP) preferred
  • Prior experience in Cell Therapy preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with patients, patient families, donors, co-workers, and other healthcare professionals in a busy and stressful environment with multiple distractions
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and self direction
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Active role in preparing, reviewing, modifying and/or implementing quality management policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of cellular therapy regulatory requirements and standards (i.e., FACT & FDA) as they pertain to departmental SOPs
  • May serve as FACT Quality Manager for organization
  • Coordinate Quality Improvement meetings
  • Monitor Cellular Therapy quality events
  • Ensure root cause analysis and corrective action are appropriate and complete
  • Ensure quality activities and improvement strategies are implemented in a timely manner, remain relevant and are effective
  • Perform annual Internal Cell Therapy Audits and maintain records
  • Manage monthly Cell Therapy quality data
  • Prepare monthly and annual Cell Therapy Quality reports
  • Ensure accurate and complete data acquisition such that improvements on patient care and process improvement can be documented
  • Facilitate and assist in process improvements initiatives between collection, processing, and research departments
  • Participate in at least 10 hours of educational activities related to the field of cellular therapy, cell collection, and/or quality management annually
