Job Summary

Tennessee College of Applied Technology Oneida/Huntsville is accepting applications for a full-time Facilities Support Associate to work at both the Oneida and Huntsville campuses Monday through Friday.

Job Duties

  • ย - Clean all restroom facilities - (Essential)
  • ย - Stock/resupply all paper products and hand soap in restrooms - (Essential)
  • ย - Clean, buff, wax floors - (Essential)
  • ย - Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment - (Essential)
  • ย - Remove trash from classrooms, shop areas, offices, and common areas - (Essential)
  • ย - Clean and disinfect all work areas to reduce the risk of or potential spread of COVID-19 and/or other infectious illnesses - (Essential)
  • ย - Mow and keep grounds well-manicured - (Essential)
  • ย - Painting, changing filters, light bulbs, etc. as necessary - (Essential)
  • ย - Other various maintenance duties as necessary - (Essential)
  • ย - Close and secure the buildings nightly - (Essential)

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma, HiSET (GED)

ย Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience (2 years) as a maintenance or custodial worker

Previous experience in a supervisory role

ย Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to adapt to changing assignments and manage multiple tasks
Working knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures
Familiarity with OSHA/TOSHA guidelines

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have valid driver's license.
Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and operating instructions and procedures, and equipment manuals.
Ability to work independently or with a crew
Ability to assume a role as crew leader
