This role ensures our practitioners have a safe, clean, fully functioning environment, reliable equipment, and seamless operational support so they can focus entirely on delivering exceptional patient care. • Conduct daily building walkthroughs to identify maintenance, repair, and safety needs.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor facility repairs while coordinating outside vendors for specialized repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain Root's Facilities Log, including monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, internet, security, audiovisual systems, emergency preparedness equipment, and operational equipment. Coordinate bi-annual IT and security audits, maintain equipment records, and ensure all inspections, maintenance, and repairs are documented and completed on schedule.
  • Chair Root's Safety Committee and facilitate bi-annual safety meetings with department leaders.

Spa Operations
  • Lead Spa Attendant operations and uphold Root's Guest Experience Standards.
  • Train, coach, and support Spa Attendants on Root's Guest Experience Standards, operational procedures, and cleanliness expectations.
  • Oversee laundry, stocking, inventory, and organization of operational supplies.
  • Ensure all treatment rooms, guest areas, and back-of-house spaces remain clean, organized, stocked, and operationally ready throughout the day, including end-of-shift room and supply checks to prepare the facility for the following business day

Qualifications
  • Experience in facilities, hospitality, maintenance, operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable performing minor repairs and coordinating outside vendors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for maintaining logs, schedules, and documentation.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.

Success Measures
Success in this role is demonstrated by:
  • Completion of scheduled preventative maintenance and consistent maintenance of building readiness standards.
  • Achievement of 95% or higher on quarterly Root Standards Reviews.
  • Timely response to facility maintenance requests, with publicly visible issues addressed within 24 hours and all other facility and safety-related issues addressed within 48-72 hours, documented through completion or an approved action plan.
  • A facility that is consistently clean, safe, organized, fully operational, and ready to support exceptional patient care.
  • Positive collaboration with practitioners and department leaders, creating an environment where every team member can perform at their best.

Quarterly Performance Bonus
Quarterly bonus eligibility is based on achieving the Success Measures outlined above and consistently demonstrating ownership, accountability, and operational excellence.
