At Keller’s Flea Market, the Facilities Manager plays an essential role in keeping the property safe, functional, clean, and ready for guests and vendors each day. From maintaining buildings and equipment to completing repairs and supporting market operations, this hands-on position helps keep every area of the market running smoothly.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager who enjoys fixing problems, improving spaces, leading by example, and taking pride in a job well done. This is not a desk-only management position. You will work alongside the team, coordinate daily maintenance priorities, and help ensure the market remains safe, clean, functional, and ready to welcome guests and vendors.

If you have broad maintenance knowledge, previous supervisor or team lead experience, and the ability to confidently tackle a variety of projects, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As Facilities Manager, you will help oversee the daily maintenance and upkeep of the property while supporting market operations, special events, and the Facilities team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain market buildings, food stands, seller spaces, offices, warehouses, fencing, and rides.
  • Coordinate and complete general maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects.
  • Perform light carpentry and basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and repair work.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, and related tools.
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of carts, wagons, equipment, and other market assets.
  • Help identify maintenance priorities and respond to operational needs in a timely manner.
  • Provide direction, support, and hands-on leadership to team members.
  • Support special events, market-day operations, and property projects.
  • Assist with general cleanup and property preparation as needed.
  • Safely operate golf carts and company vehicles.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Follow established safety procedures when using tools, equipment, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Communicate maintenance needs, completed work, and potential concerns to market leadership.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
What You Bring

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • At least four years of work experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, landscaping, or a related field.
  • Previous supervisor, crew lead, or team lead experience.
  • General working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and repair work.
  • Experience using landscaping equipment, including zero-turn mowers and trimmers.
  • Experience safely using hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and maintenance equipment.
  • The ability to evaluate problems, determine practical solutions, and work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • A positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • The ability to provide and receive direction and constructive feedback.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to:

  • Safely lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, crawl, climb, crouch, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
  • Work safely in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
  • Safely use ladders and scaffolding.
  • Perform physical maintenance and repair tasks throughout the shift.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in changing temperatures and weather conditions.
