Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for a long-term opportunity with an advanced manufacturing company in Hillsboro, OR. The Facilities Manager develops business strategies that ensure continual improvement and customer satisfaction while adhering to company policy. Using their technical knowledge and leadership experience, the Facilities Manager ensures reliability of the facilities and equipment systems as well as budgets, staffing, performance management, cost improvement activities, and company goals as they relate to these areas.
Pay:
$127k-$140k
Facilities Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage department capital and expense budgets to ensure expenditures are in line with company goals.
  • Develop and implement a department plan that establishes operational objectives and assignments, policies and procedures, schedules activities and employees, and monitors progress; this may also include occasional revision of schedules and problem-solving.
  • 3Develop and set staffing requirements and positions needed to support department objectives.
  • Develop and implement actions to improve processes and lead the team to take the appropriate corrective actions to meet goals, quality standards, safety, and cost objectives.
  • Oversee key projects and processes to develop appropriate performance reports, data, and analysis.
  • Ensure all projects and processes meet local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide leadership for employees through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
  • Authorize department level ISO documentation, procedural maintenance, and revision; support ISO audits and ensure overall compliance to the standard.

Facilities Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of building design and systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Maintain a Limited Maintenance Electrical (LME) license is preferred (Oregon and Washington)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Demonstrated project management experience with concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Proficient PC skills are required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequent reaching, bending, crawling, climbing, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently
