What are the typical daily tasks and responsibilities of a Facebook Marketing professional?

Facebook Marketing professionals are responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing paid and organic campaigns on the Facebook platform. Daily tasks often include developing engaging content, setting up ad campaigns, monitoring performance metrics, and making data-driven adjustments to improve results. They also collaborate closely with graphic designers, copywriters, and other marketing team members to ensure brand consistency and campaign effectiveness. Staying updated on the latest platform changes and trends is key, as the Facebook ecosystem evolves frequently. This dynamic environment offers continuous learning opportunities and the chance to make a direct impact on a company's online presence and revenue.

What is a Facebook Marketing job?

A Facebook Marketing job involves creating, managing, and optimizing marketing campaigns on Facebook to promote businesses, products, or services. This includes running paid ads, engaging with audiences, analyzing performance metrics, and improving strategies based on data insights. Professionals in this role use tools like Facebook Ads Manager and Meta Business Suite to reach target audiences effectively. The goal is to increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and generate leads or sales through Facebook's advertising and organic marketing features.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Facebook Marketing position, and why are they important?

To thrive in Facebook Marketing, you need expertise in digital marketing strategies, content creation, and data analysis, often supported by a background in marketing, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with Facebook Ads Manager, analytics tools, and relevant certifications such as Facebook Blueprint are highly valuable. Strong creativity, communication skills, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing trends help professionals stand out in this role. These skills ensure that campaigns are effectively designed, targeted, and optimized to drive engagement and business growth.

How to get started with Facebook marketing?

A Facebook marketing specialist should begin by understanding the platform's advertising tools and audience targeting options. Creating a business page, setting clear campaign goals, and learning to use Facebook Ads Manager are essential steps. Gaining skills in analytics and copywriting can improve campaign effectiveness.

Is $10 a day enough for Facebook ads?

For a Facebook marketing role, a $10 daily ad budget can be effective for small-scale campaigns or testing audiences, but it may limit reach and data collection. Successful campaigns often require higher budgets to optimize ad performance and achieve meaningful results, especially in competitive markets. Skills in audience targeting and ad optimization can help maximize the impact of lower budgets.

Is remote jobs on Facebook legit?

Facebook marketing jobs that are advertised as remote are generally legitimate, especially when posted by reputable companies or verified job platforms. However, job seekers should verify the employer's credibility, avoid upfront payments, and be cautious of scams by researching the company and reviewing official application channels.

How much do Facebook marketers make?

Facebook marketers, also known as social media marketing specialists, typically earn between $50,000 and $80,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and skill level. Entry-level roles may start lower, while experienced professionals with certifications and advanced skills can earn higher salaries or freelance rates. Compensation often includes knowledge of advertising tools like Facebook Ads Manager and analytics platforms.

Job Description

**Read carefully before applying**:

**This internship is unpaid for 3 months - yet, it's my promise that the skills and exposure you will have related to growing, scaling, and marketing an e-commerce business will far exceed any paid internship you will be offered.**

We are looking for an intern (~15 hours/week) to take over full responsibilities of Facebook marketing. You will be trained to be able to effectively execute this by the founder of the company + you will be compensated with profit sharing based on your performance.  -  This internship will begin in March 2017.

We're looking for someone who is an executer and has an incredibly solid work ethic. You will be responsible for taking over Facebook marketing. This means you will using our content to publish on Facebook + create targeted campaigns towards prospective customers who might like our sh*t. You will be trained in all of this, yet we do hold a value for self-leadership and self-learning, so if you aren't willing to do the work and learn quickly, this position is not for you.

You'll also be part of and get to see "behind the scenes" of what it takes to grow and scale a multi million dollar e-commerce business, with a sense of humor.

If you think you're a good fit for this position here's what to do:

1) send a 1-2min video to josh[at]fitshit[dot]co telling me why you think you're a good fit
(make sure subject line: FITSHIT Facebook Marketing Intern + include atleast one curse word - extra points for staying 'on brand')
2) Share with me your work availability for the next 3-6 months.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Qualifications

I could be super formal about "qualifications" but that's not how we role at FITSHIT, here are the 5 "qualifications":

1) You're a badass.

2) You write (fairly) well and (kinda) enjoy it.

3) You are witty.

4) You love to learn.

5) And you work hard as sh*t.

Additional Information

Oh and this...all your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
