Job description

Job Summary
The Department of Language, Culture, and the Arts (LCA) is looking for a creative, outgoing student to help represent the department at events and share what's happening in LCA on social media. This position is only open to current UM-Dearborn students.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys meeting new people, exploring different programs and disciplines, and creating engaging visual content. You'll help highlight LCA events, opportunities, and stories through posts, photos, and other social media content. Some daytime and evening event availability is needed.
A passion for visual communication, design, and storytelling is important. Prior social media experience is helpful, but not required, we're happy to work with someone who is eager to learn.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Creative, energetic, and reliable
- Comfortable talking with students, faculty, and staff
- Excited to attend and promote LCA events
- Interested in social media, design, photography, or visual storytelling
- Open to learning and trying new ideas
This is a great opportunity to build communication, marketing, and design experience while getting more involved with the LCA community.
The hourly rate is $15 per hour for up to $15 hours per week. Flexible hours.
Responsibilities*
  • Photographing faculty, staff, students, and student groups in actionCreating appropriately-branded content for Facebook, Instagram & TikTok and assisting with the creation of department & college videos
