Job description

APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Allendale, MI looking to add a Shop Foreman their team. Their primary responsibility will be to lead and oversee daily production operations by coordinating employees, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and driving productivity to achieve production goals. Keep reading for more details!

What’s in it for you:
  • Day Shift Hours – 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Pay: $28 – $35/hr.
  • Direct Hire position - you'll be hired on directly with our client!

What your day will look like:
  • Lead a team of welders/fabricators to build custom fab projects
  • Perform (mostly) mig welding and some tig welding
  • Will weld on a variety of metals including, carbon steel, stainless, galvanized, and on some occasions aluminum
  • Read blueprints and drawings daily
  • Set-up and operate various shop equipment
  • Inspect welds and ensure product is to quality and spec
What we are looking for:
  • Strong background in welding and fabrication with emphasis on custom projects
  • Leadership experience in a fab shop strongly preferred
  • Ability to weld and fabricate to print
  • Experience with welding a variety of metals and thickness
  • Team-first personality that will work well with others in the shop
