The Aftermarket Repair Station Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the regulatory compliance framework for BAE Systems repair stations. This role provides continuous oversight of BAE Systems repair stations to support accountable managers' compliance with all applicable aviation regulations, customer requirements, and internal policies.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Aftermarket repair station QMS complies with FAA, EASA, CAA, CAAC, AS9100 and other applicable industry and BAE System quality system standards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact on operations, and support implementation of required updates.
  • Maintain oversight of the repair station associated procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Assure readiness for routine inspections, including regulatory agency, customer audits, and internal reviews.
  • Oversee compliance with safety management system (SMS) requirements.
  • Ensure site regulatory certifications are maintained.
  • Provides technical guidance to engineers, suppliers, and customers on quality and compliance matters.
  • Offers input on amendments to site repair station and quality control manuals, collaborating with the Accountable Manager and Chief Inspector to ensure proposed changes meet regulatory standards and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance through active oversight and due diligence, conducting internal audits and surveillance of maintenance, training, record keeping, and process controls.
  • Engage actively with internal and external customers, demonstrating strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Mentor site Accountable Managers and Repair Station Managers
  • Provide training and coaching for Plant Managers and applicable plant staff to ensure awareness of compliance requirements
  • Ensure technician training and certification meet regulatory expectations
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration with Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams
  • Assist with planning and overseeing internal audits and compliance surveillance activities
  • Support timely closure of audit findings and effective root cause analysis

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree, from an accredited institution, with 8+ years of experience
  • Experience in a quality, manufacturing, or continuous improvement role subject to FAA, EASA, or DoD, regulations and compliance
  • Experience with FAA repair experience, preferably FAA Part 145/43
  • Experience in a direct leadership position

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical field
  • Experience as an Accountable Manager, Quality Engineer, Repair Station Lead, or other leadership role in a unit under FAA Part 145 / 43
  • Extensive experience with the operations of a aerospace repair station
  • Thorough understanding of assembly operations, quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) and/or FAA Repair Station standards.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, AS9100 standards is a plus
  • Repairman Certificate
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or continuous improvement role subject to FAA, EASA, or DoD, regulations and compliance
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a business operating under FAA Part 145/43
  • Minimum of 2 years in a direct leadership position

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $108787 - $184937
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
