Join Enstrom Helicopter in Menominee, Michigan, just 50 minutes north of Green Bay. Located along the shores of Lake Michigan, the Menominee/Marinette area is an outdoor paradise. At Enstrom, you will be part of a close-knit team where your work is seen and valued. As a proud U.S. manufacturer of FAA certified rotorcraft, we build nearly 90% of each helicopter in house. Our team enjoys a clean, growth focused environment with a Monday through Friday schedule.
Position: Aerospace Certification Engineer – Part 23, 25, 27 or 29
Reports To: Director of Engineering
Status: Exempt
Shift: Monday – Friday, flexible hours between 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $95k - $115k
BASIC WORKER FUNCTION:
This role helps ensure Enstrom Helicopter products meet FAA certification rules. The Certification Engineer works on aircraft design changes, repairs, and safety updates while making sure everything follows FAA regulations.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
  • Lead FAA certification work for helicopters and design changes.
  • Create certification plans and compliance documents.
  • Work with FAA, DERs, and engineering teams.
  • Check engineering designs for FAA compliance.
  • Prepare and approve reports, test plans, and safety documents.
  • Support aircraft safety and improvement projects.
  • Help engineers understand certification rules.
  • Review and approve certification paperwork.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong understanding of FAA certification rules and processes.
  • Experience working with aircraft certification projects.
  • Ability to read and apply technical regulations.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical preferred).
  • 5+ years of aerospace engineering experience.
  • Experience with FAA certification (Part 23/25/27/29).
  • Experience working with FAA, DERs, or ODA organizations preferred.
  • Master’s degree or DER experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Office-based work with computer use.
  • Reading and reviewing technical documents for long periods.
  • Occasional meetings or travel as needed.
