About This Role

Are you passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for young learners?

If so, consider joining our team at Eya's House Preschool as an Instructor! Our ideal candidate is a patient, energetic, and positive individual who will help shape the lives of our children.

As an Instructor, you will play a critical role in preparing our students for kindergarten by providing a structured, supportive, and inspiring educational environment. With your expertise, you will foster age-appropriate learning and socialization, support children in developing basic skills, and guide them towards independence.

In this role, you will also be responsible for monitoring children's behavior and development, identifying and reporting any concerns, and keeping accurate records related to each child's care and progress.

What You'll Do
  • Foster age-appropriate learning and socialization through planned activities and routines

  • Support children in developing basic skills like communication, manners, and cooperation

  • Monitor children's behavior and development, identifying and reporting any concerns

  • Prepare students for transitions into school or the next level of care

  • Guide and model positive behaviors while promoting a safe and welcoming space

  • Keep accurate records related to each child's care and progress

  • Work one-on-one or in small groups based on developmental needs

Requirements
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks

  • Knowledge of childhood development and preschool practices

  • Physically able to lift/carry children, sit on the floor, and maintain classroom energy

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Organized, dependable, and flexible

  • Valid driver's license

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education a plus)

  • CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain)

  • Friendly, calm demeanor with strong communication and mediation skills

Nice To Haves
  • Prior experience in a licensed childcare setting (teacher assistant, daycare, preschool)
  • Familiarity with early education standards and classroom safety procedures
