What role you will play in our team

The Environmental Coordinator will support ExxonMobil's Refinery in Beaumont by completing environmental and regulatory analyses, developing, maintaining, and enhancing environmental and regulatory compliance systems, and ensuring compliance with internal and external environmental and regulatory reporting requirements.  The position will keep up-to-date with assigned regulations and support ExxonMobil Advocacy and Compliance staff to drive reasonable rulemaking and interpretations.  Actual job role will vary based on experience and knowledge of candidate(s).  

This role will be based in Beaumont, TX

What you will do
  • Provide environmental compliance support to the Beaumont Refinery operations, including analysis of environmental regulations and applicability determinations
  • Support the review of physical and operational changes to ensure compliance with assigned regulations, utilizing existing best practices or implementing new best practices
  • Complete internal and external reporting obligations for assigned reports/requirements.
  • Support compliance assurance processes for assigned programs (e.g. Air Emissions Inventory, Title V, NSPS, GHG, TRI, SPCC, Spill Reporting) including, Regulatory Analysis, Regulatory Interpretations and Guidance and Compliance Support Tools (e.g. checklists, workshops, manuals, databases)
  • Manage agency enforcement actions as necessary using available SSHE and Law resources
  • Coordinate internal Corporate Environmental Reporting
About you
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical or Environmental preferred) 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Strong business ethics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum 3 years' experience supporting Oil and Gas Upstream and Unconventional Assets
  • Demonstrated knowledge of emissions calculations and methodology
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal & State of Texas environmental regulations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and other
  • EPA and Texas programs (e.g. Air Emissions Inventory, Title V, NSPS, GHG, TRI, SPCC, Spill Reporting)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP, PowerBI, or other business productivity tools
