Job Description

The Extrusion Operator sets up, operates, and monitors extrusion machinery in a production environment to ensure consistent, high-quality output. This role involves working on a designated shift, following established procedures, and using hand and power tools to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate extrusion machines safely and efficiently according to established procedures and production schedules.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor extrusion equipment to maintain proper machine settings and product specifications.
  • Perform general production tasks, including assembly and handling of materials, to support continuous workflow.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to perform routine tasks, adjustments, and minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Inspect products during and after extrusion to ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy are met.
  • Record basic production data and measurements using basic math skills to verify correct outputs and material usage.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area around extrusion and production equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Identify basic mechanical issues with equipment and communicate or assist in troubleshooting as needed.
  • Adhere to shift schedules and production targets while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.

You spend most of your time on your feet, working near operating machines and assembly areas, following safety protocols and standard operating procedures in a typical industrial production setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Millbury, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
