Extrusion Furnace Operator - 1st Shift
Pries Enterprises is looking for an Extrusion Furnace Operator to join our team! No previous experience is required-we provide on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement.
Schedule
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule - every other weekend is a 3 day weekend
  • Starting Immediately
  • OT available
Starting Pay
  • Up to $20.00 per hour
PPE Requirements
  • Metatarsal Guarded Steel-Toe Boots Required
  • $150 PPE Reimbursement Available
Position Summary
The Extrusion Furnace Operator plays a critical role in the extrusion process by preparing dies for production, supporting press operations, and ensuring tooling is properly maintained and ready for use. This position offers hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion facility celebrating 50 years of manufacturing excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set up extrusion dies according to the production schedule.
  • Operate an overhead crane to transport and organize dies safely.
  • Verify tooling stacks and ensure proper die sizes are available for production.
  • Prepare and stage dies in the designated ready area.
  • Assist the Press Operator with die changes, setups, and production adjustments.
  • Collect random production samples as requested to verify product conformity.
  • Operate the extrusion press during Press Operator breaks.
  • Break down dies after production runs are completed.
  • Transfer dies to the caustic cleaning area for cleaning and repair preparation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or incidents to a Supervisor and/or the Safety Department.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
