Summary:

Responsible for the operator and PM's of the extrusion line.

Primary Responsibilities:

Production Duties

• Follow directions from management regarding length, color and diameter choices to be ran
• Meet required machine and item efficiencies
• Perform continuous quality checks
• Maintain the department's 5S program
• Perform PM's on extrusion lines
• Takes initiative and performs tasks without being told
• Perform color changes, length changes, die changes and setup changes
• Able to accurately fill out all required paperwork on a daily basis
• Follow all required safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Safety:

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate robots and the cutting machine
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to read and use measuring tools
• Self-motivation

Physical Demands:

Employee must be able to lift, carry push and pull up to 40 pounds. Employee must have the ability to complete the following repetitive tasks. Percent involved in each applicable activity is noted.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Requires the use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and hardhats. Jewelry is not permitted.

• Pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Background check.

• 40 hours of non-paid time off starts at time of hire and requires supervisor approval to use.
• PTO accrual starts at time of hire; 1 hour earned for every 40 hours worked. PTO can be used for any reason after 90 days of employment.

Requirements

Shifts available dependent on current openings based on production needs : 

Day shift M-Th 6:00am-6:00pm; F 6:00am-3:30pm (additional hours and days based on production need)

Night shift Su-Th 6:00pm-6:00am with 15% premium
