Job Title: Press Utility
Republic Extrusions/Team Pride Extrusions: Megargel, TX

The Company
Republic Extrusions/Team Pride Extrusions is a leader in providing high-quality aluminum extrusion products and services tailored for various industrial needs.
Job Summary:
To assist in the overall operation of the extrusion process as determined by the Press Team Leader.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment around the entire extrusion area
  • Identify and report safety concerns to the Extrusion Manager
  • Identify and report maintenance needs to Extrusion Manager
  • Assist with preventive maintenance on all extrusion equipment
  • To assume the duties of any press team member for break and lunch periods as well as in the case of absences
  • To assist in the duties of any press team member as needed when workload becomes to great to complete in a timely manner
  • Interpretation of production schedules, work orders and drawings
  • Maintain a good attendance record
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of extrusion production processes
  • Good communication in a team environment
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Must be goal oriented in order to achieve daily production targets

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma preferred, 2 years of experience in an extrusion setting.
Language/Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and work with team members in a bilingual environment (with the use of an interpreter as needed). Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Computer Skills:
  • Ability to operate computer and/or electronic based machine controls as well as basic computer skills for the use of production software.

Compensation:
  • Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
