JOB DESCRIPTION:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Support Extrusion process and Line Operator. Primary responsibilities are entry level
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to all safety rules and policies.
  • Visually inspect lineals for conformity to specifications.
  • Interpret smart scope, promex, and bow machine results for dimensional conformity.
  • Use all Quality appearance station forms and gauges to adhere to Quality Standards.
  • Follow daily standard work.
  • Stack profiles according to standard work.
  • Properly wrap loads.
  • Order raw materials.
  • Adhere to line schedule.
  • Complete production paperwork.
  • May or may not operate a powered industrial truck (PIT) based on operations/department need.
  • Support respectful workplace.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in appropriate training and development programs
  • Other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Extrusion Machine operation experience not required.
  • Manufacturing, equipment maintenance, Lean operations experience helpful
  • Basic computer skills - keyboarding, Windows helpful.
  • Willingness to be trained and learn extrusion.
  • Comply with Respectful Workplace policies and guidelines
  • Dependability/punctuality.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS FOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Tier III
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to safely push and/or pull up to 70 pounds of force
  • Climb stairs/steps at will
  • Obtain a variety of positions such as stooping, reaching, twisting, etc.
  • Ability to grasp and pinch frequently throughout the day
  • Work around and near moving equipment and machinery

PAY RANGE:
$20.35 - $23.57

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
