Job description

Clarkson College is currently seeking a Professional Development Instructor.
The course instructor will teach American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) course using approved curriculum or Professional Development courses.
Required Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent required.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider certification, required. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor certification, required.
Minimum two years working experience in a health care occupation or field requiring the utilization of basic life support skills is required.
Excellent communication and instructional skills required.
Current valid motor vehicle operator's license and ability to meet and maintain insurability requirements as defined by the fleet automobile liability insurance carrier.
Ability to work with a varied population of individuals required.
Proficient in use of classroom equipment (computer, projector, electronic bulletin board, TV, DVD recorder) required.
Proficient in use of course specific training materials and equipment (medical manikins, barrier devices, external automated defibrillator) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or licensure in a health care field, preferred.
