To thrive in External Communications, you need excellent writing, public relations strategy, and media relations skills, often supported by a degree in communications, journalism, or a related field. Familiarity with media monitoring tools, press release distribution systems, and content management platforms is typically required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, creativity, and the ability to handle crisis communications set top professionals apart. These skills are crucial for shaping an organization's public image, building stakeholder trust, and effectively managing external messaging.

What jobs make 10,000 a month without a degree?

External communications roles typically require relevant skills in writing, media relations, and digital platforms; high-paying positions in this field often involve senior or specialized roles such as communications directors or consultants, which can reach or exceed $10,000 monthly with experience. However, most high-paying jobs in communications emphasize experience, networking, and proven results over formal degrees.
