Landon's Auxiliary Programs seeks an After School/Extended Day Coordinator for their after school program with ours 3:15-6:15 M-F. This program is designed for boys in grades 3-8 and the purpose is to provide a safe, supervised space in which students may work on their homework, read silently, or relax after school. The position is a part-time, 9-month, nonexempt position that reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs. 


Responsibilities include:

1. Supervise students in a classroom, on an athletic field, or playground

2. Create a positive study hall environment conducive to academic and social success

3. Provide homework help as needed

4. Maintain accurate records of attendance

5. Distribute snacks, sports equipment, and  games

6. Organize, and be familiar with, student emergency contact and allergy information

7. Communicate with parents and ensure students are dismissed to the appropriate adult

8. Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Experience working with children in an academic/educational environment preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently

The expected rate of pay for this position is $22 -25 per hour.Â
