Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping department and ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our extended-stay guests. This role requires a leader who understands the nuances of longer guest stays, apartment-style suites, and the importance of maintaining consistency while managing efficient turnover and deep cleaning schedules.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, train, and inspire the housekeeping team, including room attendants and laundry associates
  • Create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings to align the team on priorities and occupancy needs
  • Coach team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service

Extended-Stay Operations Focus

  • Oversee cleanliness and upkeep of suites with kitchens, living areas, and workspaces
  • Manage stayover service schedules and deep cleaning rotations for long-term guests
  • Ensure attention to detail in high-touch and high-use areas (kitchens, appliances, bathrooms)
  • Balance efficiency with guest privacy and comfort

Quality Assurance & Brand Standards

  • Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure Marriott brand compliance
  • Partner with Front Desk to prioritize arrivals, VIPs, and special requests
  • Respond promptly to guest concerns and service recovery opportunities

Financial & Inventory Management

  • Manage labor scheduling based on occupancy and productivity goals
  • Control departmental expenses including supplies, linens, and equipment
  • Maintain par levels and oversee ordering for housekeeping inventory

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safe chemical handling practices
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support preventative maintenance reporting and coordination


Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of housekeeping leadership experience, preferably within Marriott or extended-stay brands
  • Strong understanding of extended-stay housekeeping operations and service models
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
