Job Title: Operations ManagerReports to: VP of OperationsLevel: SalariedSchedule: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, or as per manager's discretion and business needs
SCOPE
Responsible for the operational performance, service quality, and financial results of an assigned portfolio of lodge locations - leading site leadership teams, owning budget and P&L accountability, and serving as the primary operational point of contact for clients.
WHO WE ARE
Target Hospitality is a leading provider of specialty rental and hospitality services, delivering turnkey workforce housing, culinary, and facility management solutions to remote and challenging environments across North America. We take pride in building not just accommodations, but communities - and that same commitment to people extends to our own team.
We believe that a great guest experience starts with a great employee experience, and we invest in the people who make that happen every day.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable and responsible for maintaining a safety culture, following all SOPs, JSAs, and policies and procedures as set out by Target Hospitality.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across assigned lodge locations, including hospitality, food service, housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk functions.
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable the Lodge Managers and site leadership teams within the assigned portfolio.
  • Own operational budgets and P&L performance for assigned locations, managing labor, food, and supply costs against occupancy and contract terms.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients, maintaining relationships and resolving service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor occupancy, census, and service levels, adjusting staffing and resources to meet fluctuating demand.
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and audits to verify compliance with company standards, food safety, HSE requirements, and client expectations.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources on staffing plans, hiring, onboarding, retention, and employee relations matters across assigned sites.
  • Drive consistency in SOPs, service standards, and reporting across all locations in the portfolio.
  • Support lodge mobilization, expansion, and demobilization activities, including readiness planning and resource coordination.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including scopes of work, performance, and cost control.
  • Prepare and present operational reports, KPIs, and performance summaries to senior leadership.
  • Lead emergency response and business continuity efforts at assigned locations.
  • Exceed our guests' needs by providing world-class customer service.
  • Attend all safety meetings and participate in Target Hospitality emergency response procedures.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by a manager.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Extended periods of sitting and computer use when performing administrative and reporting work.
  • Short- and long-distance walking required during site inspections and lodge walkthroughs.
  • Use of stairs and step stools.
  • Occasionally lift an average weight of 25 lbs with a maximum of 50 lbs. Where weights may exceed 50 lbs, the assistance of another person or a lifting aid is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, high-stress environment.
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain and access all areas of a lodge facility, including kitchens, laundry areas, and mechanical spaces.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to hear and understand verbal instruction as well as other sounds such as safety alarms and signals.
  • Must be able to see without impairment for inspection purposes, and able to read small text such as product warning labels.
  • Exposure to extreme hot and cold environments during site visits and outdoor inspections.
  • Ability to work within a rotational schedule of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or as per business needs.
  • Frequent travel between assigned lodge locations, which may include remote sites with limited amenities.
  • Ability to work safely and navigate within small, close quarters and congested areas.
  • May be exposed periodically to elevated noise and surroundings.
  • Must be available to respond to operational and emergency issues outside of standard working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent operational experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive operations experience in hospitality, workforce housing, food service, or facilities management.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing salaried managers or multi-department teams.
  • Multi-site or remote-site operations experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated accountability for operational budgets and P&L performance.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships in a contract services environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret operational and financial data and act on it.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience with hospitality, workforce management, or ERP systems.
  • Valid food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred.
  • First aid certification is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between assigned locations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and urinalysis.
