Job Description
Avenues: The World School New York is seeking caring, dependable educators to join our Small World Extended Day Program, to work with our two-year-old students. This is an excellent opportunity for educators, graduate students in early childhood education, or experienced preschool teachers seeking part-time afternoon work.
The Opportunity
We are hiring educators to provide a warm, engaging after-school experience for our youngest learners in a collaborative, play-based environment.
Positions Available
  • Teacher Group Leader - $105 per day ($42 hourly rate based on 2.5 hour shift)
  • Teacher - $90 per day ($36 hourly rate based on 2.5 hours shifts)

Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 3:00-5:30 p.m.
  • Candidates may work 2-5 afternoons per week following consistent schedule
  • Positions are available by semester or for the full academic year.

Qualifications
What You'll Bring
  • Experience working with young children in a school or licensed early childhood setting is required.
  • Candidates must meet New York City Department of Health (DOH) requirements to work in a licensed early childhood program.
  • Required DOH training and certifications can be completed remotely prior to the start of employment.
